Baricol Complete contains Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol), which is extracted from the grease from sheep’s wool through UVB radiation. A strict vegan may have difficulty accepting the origin of the vitamin for this reason. However, wool grease/lanolin is not included in the finished product. It is important to emphasize that, by law, sheep must be sheared at least once a year and that wool grease is, therefore, a by-product of good animal husbandry. No animals are injured or killed in the production of cholecalciferol.
